I want to do in situ hybridization on adult zebrafish brain sections, but we are lacking the equipment to do the hybridization step on slides (Basically we do not have an oven or a humidified chamber to keep the slides at 65 degrees) I was thinking whether I could do the in situ hybridization with free floating slices which I could incubate in the little mesh baskets as described by Thisse et al in their in situ hybridization protocol.

Has anybody been in a similar situation and can give me advice or share experience of what works and what does not work?
