Last year we started to use DreamTaq polymerase by Thermo Fisher in our lab. Comparing with the usual recombinant Taq polymerases by Thermo and NEB I have an impression of its poorer performance in terms of both product output and specificity. We used at least three independently bought batches with the same results.

Is it indeed so, or there are some tricks we should know when using this enzyme?
