Normally, the duration of acclimatization for all animals (including insects) is one week. But, I found a journal explained that only needs 24 hour and then insect could be treated. Do you have any explanation about this? also, any reference to support 24 hour acclimatization for insect? Thank you so much
I think the best approach to this would be to do a pilot study to determine the timeframe of acclimation responses for your trait of interest in your species of interest. In particular, bear in mind the life cycle of your species - an animal that lives several months might respond over a different time frame to one that lives a few days or weeks. Finally, bear in mind that thermal cycles and photoperiod can be as or more important than straight acclimation conditions... So... it all depends!
What are you acclimatizing for? What sort of change in conditions are you going to impose to achieve the acclimatization? What do you mean by 'treated'?

Thank you so much for your advice @Alan and @Brent. I acclimatized the insect (rice bug) for one week in lab condition (room temperature etc). Treated means I will exposed the insect with various concentration of biopesticide. I did and the result is on my hand now :)
Normaly insects, Biocontrol agents including EPNs are given even less than 24 hours to acclimatize to abiotic factor especially temperatures. Factors that affects this includes, life cycle-some you need to use at specific life stages, Shelf life of most biocontrol will not allow you to give 2 weeks for acclimatization like EPNs. In your laboratory situation you only need hours for acclimatization.
Most of us in the insect thermal biology field would consider a few hours to constitute hardening, not really acclimation. There is quite a lot of evidence that the underlying physiological and molecular processes are different between the two.
