I recently read in a paper about a HT1080 cell line expressing a modified form of the NFKB inhibitor that cannot be degraded due to mutated phosphorylation sites. Is this a characteristic of this HT1080 cell line?
Hi Pooja, these cells are called HT1080IKB-SR (for IKB Super Repressor) and are derived from the regular HT1080, which express a non-mutated form of IKB. So no it is not a characteristic of HT1080 itself.
