Dear all,
For culturing CTLL-2 cells, ATCC recommends to use CORNING T-STIM with Con A as a source for IL-2. However, delivery (for all distributors) would take almost two months and we (obviously) don't want wait that long. Does anyone know an alternative ? Or can we use just mouse or human IL-2 ? All tips or tricks are more than welcome !

T-STIM with Con A is an enriched mixture containing IL-2 and other lymphokines. When used as cell culture supplement it will promote polyclonal activation due to the presence of Con A, and at the same time the IL-2 component will support the proliferation of most antigenically sensitized and non-sensitized mouse lymphoid T-cells in primary culture.
So, using CORNING T-STIM with Con A will support exponential growth of CTLL-2 in culture. Otherwise, you could always use RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) supplemented with 10-20 IU/ml Human Recombinant IL-2.
