I find in different articles that for first round of SELEX they have used different number of aptamer molecules (like 1014, 105 etc). We have 70µM aptamer stock. Whether is there any formula to calculate number of molecules (aptamer) present in our stock?

70 µM is equal to 4.2154 x 1013 molecules of aptamer per microliter.
The number of molecules present in a solution is exactly what the molarity describes.
- 1 µM = 1 pmol / µL
- 1 pmol = 6.0221x1023 * 10-12 = 6.022x1011(This is Avogadro's number [the number of molecules in a mole] converted to pico units [ pico = 1/1,000,000,000,000 ])
- 70 pmol/µL * 6.022x1011 molecules/pmol = 421.55x1011 = 4.2154x1013 molecules/µL
