Hey there,
im planning to do an extraction of collagen from decellularized and defatted animal tissue.
I would like to extract the collagen by using acidic or enzymatic conditions to obtain telo- or atelo-collagen.
How can i verify the extracted collagen to be atelo or telo?
I thought about using SDS-page but i haven't found any adequate literature yet.
Do you have any suggesion about verifying these kinds of collagen-structrure types?

It is common to perform ELISA assays for comparison of procollagen and atelo forms. Western blotting can be used to determine collagen types present , then specific ELISA for pro and processed forms. For example, type I collagen:

Another option are Biocolor dye-based assays for measuring soluble and insoluble collagen directly (not hydroxyproline) and without harsh pretreatment. There is a combo pack of insoluble & soluble collagen assay kits.
