I am trying to transfect/ infect mouse podocyte cells (this is a cellline, but behaves very similarly like primary cells) with small DNAs. We tried using fugene. I am wondering if somebody can suggest a protocol that has higher probability for transfection.

JetPEI works well for the mouse podocyte cell line. There is also a special formulation for HUVECS. If you have the necessary bio safety level, lentiviral infection did best in our hands.
Hi, Interesting conversation! I would like to know from Subhamoy Das and Kay- Dietrich, if you have tried this jetPEI in immortal mouse podocytes that have been diffrentiated for 10-15 days. Do the cells take it well?
