I am trying to find papers that explain how to induce epigenetics modifications in a controlled manner while keeping track of these modifications? is there a way to do so? I would really appreciate detailed answers or answers citing papers that can answer my question. Thank you

Much current research focuses on the development of epigenetic editing tools, where a DNA-binding domain (Zinc finger / TALE / dCas9) is tethered to a epigenetic enzyme such as TET1 or CBP allowing for targeted epigenetic modifications.
I would advice you to have a look at research from Marianne (M.G.) Rots to start with. She is one of the leading figures in the field of epigenetic editing.
