I am modeling FSW in ABAQUS/Explicit using Coupled Eulerian and Lagrangian method. In post processor when I am unable to apply multiple cut in view cut manager if one of the cut is EVF void. I have attached the image of the same.
View cuts allow you to cut planar or deformable sections through a model to see the interior of the model. When you open view cut manager dialog box, there are three titles: show, name, model. in Model, it includes below cut, on cut, above cut, free body. Try them each to the results. Also make sure you turn on allow for multiple cuts.
I agree to what you are saying but this multiple cut option is not working when I choose "EVF void" cut option along with any of the plane. The same I have highlighted in the attached image.
as far as I know, you may prevent partially filled elements in Abaqus from being displayed by chosing a suitable threshold 0 < EVF < 1. For example, if you chose EVF=0.5 all elements containing more than 50% void will be "removed", and non-void elements are uncovered. Maybe this helps.
I agree with you, Mr. Daniel. But When I want to do it in any plane, I am unable to do so.
I tried using the 'results' option in display group, where, I can remove the elements as suggested by you. But in my case elements are brick elements and visualization of the same is not proper since in experiments you don't get a square defect always.
