I just finished functionalizing a chlorinated PVDF copolymer that's soluble in DMF, and this solvent was required for the functionalization. I now need to remove the 60 mL of DMF that remains, but it doesn't need to be completely dry.
Our freeze dryer is a shared tool and solvents are not allowed because it's not vented. I have a rotavap that attaches to a vacuum line. I also have access to a vacuum oven, though the product shouldn't be heated to more than 60 C. What do you recommend for drying my PVDF copolymer?
Due to temperature limitation, it's better to use vacuum drying. ََAlso, use a container with a large surface to intensify evaporation such as petri dish.

You can precipitate by dropping it into 500 mL of water. The DMF is miscible in water and will disperse, while the PVDF is insoluble in water and will precipitate.
You can evaporate the DMF using a rotovap or some other vacuum method to keep the temperature relatively low 40-50 C or so, but precipitation is probably better
