1. We have leave the idea of bringing each and every person to the area of 'which I think the only correct one'. Thus fight to establish our own religion will be stopped.

2. We have to learn how to respect the idea of other group of people.

3.We have to be flexible during mixing with people of different color, culture or religion. We should learn how to tolerate the minor matters like dress, language, rituals etc.

4.The globe is now like a village - we have to understand.

5. We have to respect the personal thoughts, choices, food habits of each and every individual.

6. We have to believe that, in spite of several limitations, Democratic thoughts and ideas are the greatest in today's world.

No morality without immortality, to paraphrase Dostoievski. Human harmony is about balancing spiritual and physical force; the sole dependence on physical force will lead to our self-extermination. A workable economic exit are mutual existential guarantees, replacing the Babylonian accounting system of predatory economics. Not by might, but by spirit, according to Biblical prophecy.

This is not an easy question to answer. We can suggest many things, but Human being are different kinds of animals. We, as human beings not easily trust others, respect them or forgive the things. Although I agree with all that was said above, I need to say that, most of that was said was about "what" to do. But the question is deeper. Dr. Iqbal asked HOW. The difference is huge.

Most of the time, we know WHAT to do, but don´t know HOW to do.

Politicians all over the world are well trained to abuse of that difference since not everybody is paying attention to the 'HUGE GULF' that separates the "easily known what" to the "almost unachievable how".

In the 'how' part I can see education as one of the few 'levers' available, and that will take a long time.

The reason why education as a solution takes a long time is that few people change their minds in these (or any other) matters, rather, they die and are replaced by people who have different ideas and views. So given a 'magic wand' to change an education system overnight, it will still take one generation before the 'baseline population' (i.e. parents and those in junior jobs) to change their minds, say 20 years, and it will take a further 20 years before these people are in influential positions, both locally and nationally (e.g. business leaders, village elders, judges, politicians). So whatever educational solutions are proposed, be prepared for them to take several decades for the consequences to bear fruit. The other way of changing behaviour is force and coercion, but that leads to resentment and violent revolution when the lid is taken off the oppression, and oppressive states also have a track record of fighting each other.

The solution lies in the establishment of a model of human communication; this is horizontal communication, there is dialogue in both directions (perceiver-decoder), respect and empathy, not to impose points of view contrary to certain people, such as traditions, values and culture.

I believe that writers like Habermas, Kristeva and others have neatly expressed the problems of why such situations exist and are propagated. I think listening and creating third spaces are equally neat means of developing actual praxes that might resist these situations. At the risk of shameless self-promotion (but I do think it pertinent), I recently wrote a paper that deals with similar contemporary problems. This is more to do with migration but it considers folkloristics and inter-cultural understanding:

"An argument for making constitutional patriotism practically possible through the acceptance of the personal experience narrative as a folkloric form."

I think that pedestalising academic practices that promote inter-cultural understanding is a good beginning in making a change.
