Hey all. Does anyone have experience with drying of bacterial cellulose pellicles? I tried air drying and oven drying and it got stuck on the surface of the glass or plastic. The only way how to move it its to revive it with with few droplets of water and then move, but then it is wet. I also tried lyophilisation. It works, but the cellulose is sometimes stuck or broken. Should I try longer period of cultivation to make it thicker or does anyone have different tips for drying? I use 7 days cultivation of 20% seed culture in 12 well plate.

Good day! Before putting BC on Petri dish, you may stick several tapes to unstick them and remove pellicle.
