HI,

I am analyzing a fluid structure interaction using system coupling in Ansys Workbench.

The structural model is similar to a 3D airfoil and air is the fluid medium.

I created "Fluid Structure Interface" in transient structural module.

But I am facing a problem in determining the surface to define as "system coupling" in dynamic meshing part of fluent. Also I need some guidance in putting boundary conditions.

I created enclosure  in fluent, and have put following details for boundary conditions and dynamic mesh-

1. Inlet side of enclosure

I have set this to velocity inlet condition and stationery mesh

2. Outlet side of enclosire

This is pressure outlet and again stationery mesh

3. Wall-Enclosure-

These are rest 4 walls of the cubic enclosure.

So I put it under stationary mesh (wall type)

4. Interior Enclosure-

As per my understanding its a interior part of the fluid domain and hence I put that for deforming mesh and set boundary type as interior.

5. Enclosure-

I dont understand how this is different that interior enclosure, but I just set it to deforming mesh and its not there in boundary conditions. Also If I set it to system coupling mesh zone, it shows error that "system coupling does not support mapping to this zone"

These are automatically generated domains/ named connections in fluent. Which one shall I set for "System coupling" dynamic mesh?

I am not able to set up data transfer since the fluid domain contact area is un-access-able.

PLease help me in this,

Thank You,

Prachi
