Did you check the system coupling tutorial given in ANSYS Help. They have solved a fluid-structure interaction problem.

I struggled with one of these errors:

Error:

System coupling run completed with errors. Fluid Flow (Fluent) (Solution) reported: Fluent encountered fatal error after sync point Analysis Initialization: CFD Solver license [ANSYS Academic Research] is not available for coupled run.

Source of the problem:

Product Licensing Considerations when using System Coupling: The simultaneous execution of coupling participants currently precludes the use of the license sharing feature that exists for some product licenses. The following specific requirements consequently exist: 1- Distinct licenses are required for each coupling participant. 2- Licensing preferences should be set to ‘Use a separate license for each application’ rather than ‘Share a single license between applications when possible.’

The requirements listed above are particularly relevant for ANSYS Academic products.

Solution:

Use the Set License Preferences for User option of the ANSLIC_ADMIN utility to specify which method to use and which licenses to use. You must specify the licensing method before starting an ANSYS Workbench session. If you access the Licensing Preferences dialog box from the ANSYS Workbench Tools menu, you will not be able to choose a licensing preference from there.
