Beginner in enzymoloy, I'm facing some challenges to convert my enzyme activity which i've gotten in FPU/mL into FPU/g.
I'm using cellic Ctec2 and i've found an activity of 289FPU/mL and a protein content of 82mg/mL. I would like to perform some enzymatic hydrolysis of 2% wt/v consistency biomass substrate and i don't know how to convert my activity in FPU/g. Please Can anyone help me.

First, you must to convert protein concentration to g/mL. Then, divide FPU/mL / g protein/mL; the result is FPU/g protein. But I think that maybe you need enzyme charge, refered to biomass substrate ( FPU/g biomass), as recommended by Novozymes.
First of all, try to measure the concentration of protein in cellulase solution that release 2 mg/0.5 ml glucose (the enzyme dilution that the enzyme activity (289 fpu/ml) was calculated base on it). Then divide the enzyme activity by protein concentration.
