I have prepared an experimental setup for microchannel heat transfer experiment. I designed a Teflon structure to set up the metal plate (with microchannel). I attached 8 thermocouple (T type, thin wire) and placed the steel plate on to the tips of thermocouples without soldering because I have to change the plate further. Now I am facing problem with this setup. Some of the thermocouples do not response properly (do not increase temperature much when heated up compared to others) . Which type of thermocouples are best for measuring point temperature of flat plate? What is the best way to connect the thermocuples with flat plat that ensures proper contact?

Please suggest some solution considering everything.
