I am trying to recreate the results in the following research to understand dispersion curve analysis and band gap formation.

I did build the structure following the supplementary material presented in the paper. (Attached with this post). However, I am having trouble defining the periodic Floquet boundary conditions. Am I supposed to define 2 different periodic conditions for the walls perpendicular to x and y axis? Moreover, which axis should the k-vector be in for these respective walls?
I would appreciate any help since I am just learning about this topic and implementing it in COMSOL.

If you mean on the 'electric currents (ecs)' module , it's easy :
On the list of BCs you should see one with the name of 'Periodic Condition', select it.
Then, just select the boundaries from your model which you want to set as a continuous domain.

First of all i am not an expert in COMSOL. However, just like we have iso-surface feature available in FLUENT to apply repetitive or periodic boundary condition, there should be a way out in COMSOL too.
