In a research, lesion diameter due to a disease has a CV below 10%. However, in an another parameter, disease inhibition percentage (compared to control), a value derived from lesion diameter (C-T/C * 100%), a CV above 50% has been achieved. Is it acceptable? Can we consider higher CV in such cases where data could have been amplified by a formula?

What cases could exist where such large CV can be accepted?
