I have some adherent cells in a flask. Early next week, some of those cells will be trypsinized, passaged and seeded in a new flask for future experiments; so far so good.
The rest of the cells that I am harvesting at the start of next week will have to be used across 4 to 5 days. How should I store them for easy use on a day-to-day basis?
Previously, with suspension cells, I would just redistribute them in a 96-well U-bottom microtiter plate (no corners for cells to get stuck in when pipetting them out for experiments). Then, at the start of each day, I'd pipette out a few wells worth of suspension cells for my experiments.
But now I'm working with adherent cells, and I imagine I would have to trypsinize them at the start of each day as they would have adhered overnight? And should I store each daily aliquot in small petris or flasks? It doesn't sound like a good idea to keep adherent cells in something with walls e.g. Eppendorf tubes, microtiter plate, over a few days.
