I have used MO BIO's PowerSoil DNA Isolation Kit and sent my samples by package delivery with ice packs, they didn't keep the coold chain and my samples were at room temperatur al least two days. Is it posible to obtain results with this samples.
If the DNA is not contaminated with DNase, then no problem at all.
I used to accidentally left my DNA sample in RT for a week without any discernible adverse impact on my downstream experiments.
DNA is pretty stable in the right buffer. In addition for most applications even the appearance of some random nicks will not affect it (assuming you are not doing single molecule sequening or other techniques which require very long fragments)

DNA solved in 10mM Tris-HCL can be stored at room temperature up to 1 year. You should have no problem at all.
Jose, Good question. We are currently starting a study to look at soil storage method and DNA thaw time (time at room temperature) to answer the question in terms of what impacts it has on amount of DNA but also on community composition.
