So i have heard that bacteria release toxins to the media and can retard cell growth, but i don't know how exactly it affect the cells and what changes can occur... is it by changing the pH of the media?? can it cause oxidative stress to the cells?? will that affect the enzymes like gsh, catalase, sod, etc.?? and does the use of antibiotics in media affect the cells?? if so, how and why??

hi Lalrinzuali. The growth of bacteria in your cells is highly undesired. They can kill the cells and/ or cause irreparable damage. It can also infect other peoples cells. I wouldn't advise the use of antibiotics. Firstly it can fan the flames of antibiotic resistant bacteria which is already a global issue. Also it cause people to be less careful. It does not prevent fungal and viral growth which are also great problems. Instead I would use an aseptic hood in combination with 70% alcohol spray and a sanitizer.
