my U87 cell are getting contamination that looks like as fungal. please suggest me how i can avoid fungal growth in my culture. how much Amphotericin B i can use in media if used to avoid fungal growth

Look at the medium under microscope, fungi hyphe will be growing and floating around they look like little long fingers clear, but lots of them. The best is to watch the water in your incubator and keep it clean, to add fungicide to it and change it offen.
Cells will be slow to grow or dead when contaminated.70% Ethanol has been shown to work well, wipe well with EtOH in biosaftey hood.
