We are testing crude extracts taken from various parts of taro and comparing their efficiency against PCa carcinogenesis. We would like to know to incubate our prostate cancer cell line and does it need a mixture for these cells to be preserved to be studied for our research.

I would suggest you prepare different extracts from various parts of the plant and test each extract separately instead of a mixture because different parts of the plant will show different profile of bioactive compounds (please see the research article attached).
You can then test each extract on the prostrate cancer cell line as per the protocol mentioned by Ertan Kanbur.
