Corporate culture may shift towards social sustainability when corporate leaders and stakeholders will recognize that we all live in one single planet, and that markets can not expand without limits. Within this frame economies begin to change from being 'extractive' to 'regenerative' and this transition is only possible when the values of sustainability become the tenets of a new ethics that will be embraced universally.
You have asked a very good question. However I am not as optimistic as Bruno in that almost all corporate entities survive or fail depending on their "bottom line", that is, the difference between money coming in and money going out. Only if this figure can be expressed as a value that reflects the long term good of society and the planet can you hope that corporations will operate to 'regenerate' rather than 'extract'. The present method of calculating the "profit" almost always totally disregards the long term and focuses only on one or two years ahead - if that.

What I feel that we have to see this in a broader aspect. Social responsibilit, ethics, sustainability everything will come automatically if individuals start understanding the HUMAN VALUES AND PROFESSIONAL ETHICS. Whatever an individual or an organisation is doing is for the betterment of humane, society and nature. The Intention is very clear but it is the question of competence. Once they may understand this the harmonious, sustainabe and values based organisations will become a reality rather then a bookish terminology.
