I am trying to analyse RCC slab under UDL using FEA tool ABAQUS 6.13.1. I am getting the following error
9 nodes on an embedded element do not lie in any host element. Check coordinates, exterior tolerance and absolute exterior tolerance parameters, and the host element set definition. The nodes have been identified in node set ErrNodeEmbeddedNode.
Can anyone tell me, how to resolve this one. I am using embedded region as interaction constraint. Thank you
may that small part of the steel reinforcement is outside the concrete region
double check concrete cover or may courser mesh you can use

Some portion of steel was outside of concrete. Done with the problem. Can you give me your opinion about these tools? Actually which one one good for this type of static analysis? ABAQUS or ANSYS?

I used both of them,,,, both of them are great but Abaqus is better in visualization and easier in geometry modeling especially if you need to do changes. at the same time some features are available only in Ansys
