I am researching the histology of cremated bones and determining the viability of the nuDNA and mtDNA present after exposing the bones to varying heat exposures. Part of my research includes wanting to immunostain the nuDNA and mtDNA that are present in order to determine just how viable they are. Are there any proteins or any aspect of nuDNA and mtDNA in bones that can be immunostained to detect them, even at high temperatures?
