Hi all, I intend to assay my cells with L-15 medium supplemented with 17alpha-methyltestosterone.
I dissolved the powdered hormones in 100% ethanol as a stock solution of 100mM. When I add 250ul of this stock solution into 50mL of L-15 mediums they formed small white crystals that will never dissolves. Am I doing something wrong here? Should I use DMSO instead of ethanol?

If my calculations are correct, you achieved 0.5 mM final conc. of 17-alpha-methyltestosterone in the medium. Is this the concentration you would like to use for your experiment? If yes, 17-alpha-methyltestosterone is not soluble in the aqueous medium at the conc. you used.
