Some wound pads adhere to bleeding or exudating wounds. I would like to test in vitro which pads tend to adhere and which not. Is there an easy way to simulate this, maybe using mixtures of gelatine, fibrin, calf serum or anything else?
I understand you now sorry. In my opinion this can be achieved using mixture serum and gelatin or fibrin alone. I will also think more if ı find a new idea ı will say you as soon as possible ok
Some years ago we used a slurry of glycerin and saline to test absorption and adherence. The slurry does not have the exact "tack" of blood or albumin exudates but certainly is a close substitute.
I would also think that one could purchase calf blood for the study as well. Some clinicians have reported the use of platelets for this purpose.
