The dishes Yoshitaka posted look neat. If you have some cells to experiment with you may want to try 3mM EDTA in PBS, incubate at room temp for a bit (10-20 min or so), and see if the sheet starts to release from the plastic.
Editing to add that I've never tried this :) But I have used concentrations of 3-5mM EDTA to remove intestinal epithelium in large sheet-like pieces from the intestinal basement membrane..
Yoshitaka, tnx for the reply. I need to culture my cells on a gel. I wonder if this membrane is able to harvest the cell sheets from the gel as well or not.
Do you mean that you harvest the cells on gel-coated culture dish?If so, I recommend you to purchase the special dish which the Cellseed company sells and you coat with gel.
Or, after you finish culturing cells on gel, use `Cellshifter` which is the tool to use for separate the cell from gel. And they are also dealed in Cellseed company.
They are speciallized company on regenerational medicine, if you have any question, I recommend you to inquire them.
I need to culture liver cell lines on top of a gel (collagen/matrigel), after that need to harvest the cell sheet from top of the gel to transfer it to another dish for more treatment.
