Trim soft tissue as close to bone as you can. Dehydrate and embed in PMMA. Make cross section (polish until you reach desirable depth, be careful). Observe in SEM with BSE (backscattered electrons).

Thanks! but this protocol is useful to obtain tridimensional SEM photos of the relation between tooth and alveolar bone to analyze the bone resorption?

With this method you can see only cross sections, not surface of a bone
