Using the image below (Suchana et al., 2017), kindly help me know the following:
1. Is is better to use ANSYS Fluent or ANSY Transient Thermal to obtain cooling time with temperature of the plastic part?
2. How do I apply the boundary conditions given such as Initial temperature of the molten ), simulation time, water coolant, convective thermal coefficient, inlet coolant temperature, plastic initial temperature, mold and plastic properties (density, specific heat and isotropic thermal conductivity and ejection temperature.

My suggestion is to simplify the geometry and the whole problem. If you simulate the complete geometry with all components, it will require large computational resources.
FLUENT can solve it. If you are looking to see what happens with time, then the simulation has to be transient. You may start with the coil only and apply to it the inlet and exit BCs and apply heat flux BC to its surface. The properties of the fluid and the solid material need to be input in the software.
Ahmad K. Sleiti Thank you for your response. Does it mean FLUENT is not good at determining what happens at a specific time during a process of is it that Transient Thermal is more advisable?
In modelling the problem in Transient Thermal, I applied initial temperature of the plastic as the initial temperature and the inlet temperature as the ambient temperature. Is this the right way to input the boundary conditions?
