how to model the repaired concrete beams using epoxy injection in ABAQUS?
firstly, the RC beam was loaded up to appear of first crack( 1mm width), at the middle part of the beam, this meet also the first yielding of the reinforcement, then the load was released and repair process by epoxy injection was done inside the cracks and the beam was loaded again till failure. The problem here, how to model these steps in ABAQUS?
You can read the old geometry (after cracking), remesh, including the injected material and then map the old solution to your model using *map solution.
You have to use nonlinear analysis and load the beam incrementally until yielding of steel is commenced. Unload the beam incrementally also. Use linkage elements at the cracks location that represent the injected epoxy (use the mechanical properties of epoxy to simulate the stiffness of these linkage elements). You have to establish a failure criteria for these linkage elements. Then you can reload the beam again to failure.

- Remove the cement plaster , Expose the concrete Surface then can start the process.
- Give vertical support to beam by ISMC box sectional column required places.
- If the micro crack , you can inject the Epoxy Resin .
- If the Macro crack , you can make Paste of Epoxy Resin with Micro silica sand and apply the creak bottom and sides without appear the creak except elevated one point.
- Then you have to be filled Epoxy Resin by Inject.
- After Curing of " 8 Hrs " Apply the Epoxy resin on the surface of the Beam and CFRP ( Carbon fiber–reinforced polymer ) Sheet can be used for wrapping in the beam with proper bonding
- Then use ISA with bolt nut for additional support to tie the Beam .
- After " 24 Hrs " you can remove the vertical support to the beam.

I Understand this problem , in Abaqus also solve this problem this also 2D,3D only think is each and every section details have to be taken individually. same details can have in ANSYS ALSO SIR WE DONE THE SAME JOB.
