How can I measure the DNA alkyl products of cytotoxic agents such as ethylnitosourea?

I need to get information how I can measurre the alkyl products of ethylnitrosourea (e.g. O(6)-alkylguanine) in various tissues of mice fetuses (liver, lung, brain). I want to measure the products, e.g., by an ELISA, and I want to locate the alkyl products by immunohistochemical methods. Thanks for your suggestions!

Hello, i have just seen that you question and i have read through an old research study based on the activity of O(6)-alkylguanine-DNA alkyltransferase in humans, rat and mouse tissues. I have been used this study since a couple of months ago in for my lab experiments and is very useful for the measurements of DNA alkyl products. I hope to help you with that article.
