Hi, I trying to use sodium chlorate to abrogate heparan sulfate synthesis. The thing is that in many papers use "sulfate free medium", and they say that they buy it from SIGMA or GIBCO, but I cant find those products on their catalogs. Any idea how to solve this? THANKS A LOT!

I suggest to prepare a serum free media and add to it between 5-8 micromole of cupper chloride.2H2O as it will remove all of the cysteine sulfur atoms and avoid adding the GSH to your media as it will make complexes with the added copper and attenuate its effect.
