this is the classic paper:

However, try to invest 15 (!) minutes to learn the three rules of path tracing as the indirect effect results from the product of the involved direct effects (B_ab = B_a * B_b) [assumed standardized effects for simplicity] and the total effects results from the sum of all direct and indirect effects. Simple as that.
