I think SSP-Prime  will consume more time than single PCR-RFLP!. This protocol (SSP-Primer) is only useful when you not know one end of the fragment of interest.

If that is not the case there are alternative techniques that might work such as SSCP or Heteroduplex. Then, if there are different profiles, you must sequence the fragment to identify mutations and go on

I would recomend other options. First, if you have acces to a qPCR (you don't need a full time reaction, it can be done in a normal PCR and with an acces to a final fluorescence read of about 15 min be be enough) either Taqman assays (Life Technologies) or KASP (LGC Group). The first one is a well known comercial product with nearly all SNPs assays already design and tested, the technology evaluates one SNP at a time but all with same PCR condition. the only limitation is the price and number of samples to be analysed.

The second technology is a allele specific extension, is a company that could perform the whole design and analysis or only the primer design. They can test SNP design and always give you the PCR conditions (can be amplified in any PCR and read out in the same way as any Taqman assay, qPCR at final fluorescence). Other options with multiplexing assays (from 1 up to 30)  is IPLEX genotyping from Sequenom, you do not need the equipment, there are multiple genotyping servicies that offer reasonable prices. In Spain we have the National Genotyping Center with such service (http://www.usc.es/cegen/).
