Can I magnetic stirrer chitosan 24 hours hours but 6 hours stirring 10 hours break like that?

I need to magnetic stirrer chitosan for 24 hours. In this case, if I magnetic stirrer the chitosan solution for 6 hours, then I take 10 hours of breaks. I followed this 4 times so that the overall time of magnetic stirring would be 24 hours. Does it affect the quality of chitosan?
