I need to move the tool along negative y-axis for which I have given value of U2:-150 (mm) and in amplitude: tabular I gave as time/amplitude as 0/0 and 1/1.
Also, in the second step, displacement is along x-axis for a distance on 150 (mm). Amplitude used is same.
Smoothing is solver default.
Step is dynamic/explicit.
The problem is tool moves only a few mm in Y axis and not 150 mm as given in U2.

You need to define time/amplitude to 0/0 for the initial position and to 1/0.15 for the final position if your analysis total time is 1 second.
Note that if you use S.I. units it will be 0.15, but if you use scaled units then 150 to define mm.
Step 1: Movemnt along y-axis. Distance: 150 mm
Step 2: Movemnt along x axis. Distance : 150 mm
I am using S.I Units.
Total time for analysis is 300 seconds. (Each Step of 150 seconds).
time/amplitude to 0/0 and 0/0.15 will be correct?

You can do either that or by setting magnitude equal to 1 and define step amplitudes as:
time / amplitude for Step 1
0/0
150/0.15
time / amplitude for Step 2
151/0
300/0.15
Aliasger, thanks for your notice. I should have mentioned that I refer to total time.
I will use the total time. For Step1: 0,0 / 150,1 and step2: 151,0 / 300,1. Magnitude as 0.15 in the appropiate direction.

The warning : The option *boundary,type=displacement has been used; check status file between steps for warnings on any jumps prescribed across the steps in displacement values of translational dof.
I tried 0,0 and 150,1 when i get this warning. Something i should change??
I'm confused with step times, amplitudes etc.. I'm trying to model classic tensile test with Explicit.
I'd like to simulate test, which lasts 200 for seconds in real life. Now I have set the model like this:
- displacement BC set to 1500 (15 mm movement in the end)
- dynamic step, time period 0.1
- amplitude smooth, 0., 0., 0.1, 0.01
- units SI
How should I change the settings to simulate 200 secs lasting test with 15 mm displacement?
