I want to connect 100 micron wire to an IPMC platinum electrode which has width of 200 micron and 2 micron thickness.
Have you tried using a wire bonder?

Hello, Solomon! I think you can connect them with silver paste. You can dip the wire into the paste and then just put it on the electrode until it will dry.

Your question seems very interesting to me. I also would like suggest you to try use a capacitor. Maybe you could pick up the capacity and voltage for to weld and not to burn the metal electrode.
