Encapsulating peritonitis (otherwise known as sclerosing peritonitis) is a rare but often devastating consequence of solid organ transplantation. There has been a slow evolution in the knowledge of how to try and modulate the ongoing inflammatory response within the abdomen by the use of certain immunosuppressive agents and/or Tamoxifen. Has anyone had success with either mTOR inhibitors or Tamoxifen in these cases?
