I am very new to NGS analysis and will be analysing MNase data soon. MNase is used to identify nucleosome positions genome wide.

I read papers and observed that normalized tag densities are used. How is this calculated? What does this tell us? When there is a peak it is definite nucleosome occupies that location, but what does the number tell? Is there a formula to calculate this?

I will be glad if someone could share any link or papers that could help the same.

thanks everyone in advance!

Sherin
