I am doing my research work in Cadence IC6.1.8. During the course I want to generate a noise signal like the one I have attached here, which is created using LtSpiceIV.
I have found an option to use 'bsource' as input. But, I am unable to find an 'expression' by which I can specify a random noise. Can you please give me some example expressions so that I can understand the way in which it should be.
I have tried some circuits which gives a random signal output. Also I tried with some verilogA code. But didn't get a result.
Without this noise signal I am unable to proceed my research work. I need a noisy signal in any way. Kindly reply.
I guess a noise signal could be measured. However, one of our pink and white noise generators for sound insulation measurements uses a MLS signlal sequence that can be heard to «loop».
You do not say what application nor frequency regions you are working. This may play a significant role for the choice of source and algorithms.
Measuring noise is just having a transducer and not giving it any signal. Or pick up signals from eg the «air», radiowaves. Record your radio set between any stations.
@Anders Buen I am doing project in low power VLSI, more specifically power supply noise. I am trying to get a signal like the one in the figure ie, noise signal with dc level 1.8. I need overshoots and undershoots from 1.8V, which is my vdd (supply voltage). Can you help me.
