Hippurate Hydrolysis Microplate ?

Hi,

I'd like to adapt hippurate hydrolysis test to microplate reader. Has anyone done this before, maybe? I assume both Na hippurate and ninhydrin must be available as powder? The question is what wavelength do you read the purple color? 610?
