I am currently working on the synthesis of gold nanostars for my master's thesis, but the solution I obtain appears blurry, instead of the expected well-defined color.

Here are some details about my process:

I used AgNO3, HAuCl4, sodium citrate tribasic, freshly prepared and cooled NaBH4 to seed. For growth solution, freshly prepared ascorbic acid, HauCl4, CTAB, AgNO3, and seed. After that, incubated RT for 24h and then dialysed.

Could anyone share insights into what might be causing this issue? Are there specific parameters or techniques I should focus on to achieve a more uniform and stable nanostar morphology?

Any advice or related experiences would be greatly appreciated!
