Hi all,
I have a Knock out mouse' spinal cord (SC) fixed in tissue tek, and it was treated before with PFA, and sucrose (for using it in IHC experiment). However, I need to do a genotyping experiment on this specific fixed SC, is that possible? Does anyone has an experience with genotyping of an already fixed SC tissue? Or know a protocol may be?

We have some experience in the genotyping of DNA from mice of similar characteristics to yours samples, we designed a new method for using in challenging sample. If your are interested in that please let my know.

We have created a new method that improves the histological and structural conditions of human and animal tissues. Current use is in the forensic area, but we had the opportunity to apply this new protocol to 20-year post-mortem (PMI) rodent tissues and we obtained positive genotyping of a gene for phylogenetic use. I enclose paper that refers to the protocol, in this case tooth. Let us know if this information is useful.
