Heard some researchers have always purchased RPMI (no L-glutamine), and only added L-glutamine when preparing the complete cell culture media. Wondering if this has to do with the 'freshness'/'stability' of L-gluatmine in the cell media? Or whether the concentration of L-glutamine might be diluted if additional components are added to the media that already has L-glutamine?
