for a journal publication, only the idea is important or the presentation of paper (way of drawing figures, plots etc) is also equally important? I think we should educate our young researches in there degrees that presentation of your paper is something very important. we only teaches them that in a paper we have hypothesis, abstract,.. intro...etc. We should also educate them how to make your paper more attractive to reader and what are the possible ways for it.........and what are the software available for it......

I agree that have a strong validation/evaluation with good results presentation is very important.
A paper in journal has to be well-structured and be written in excellent language. Definitely, the content has to offer something new in the field, not being just a repetition of older theories and hypotheses. The tables and figures have to be simple and clear in order for every reader to be able to understand them. So, I would say that both content and structure of the paper have to be developed carefully

Both idea and good presentation are required for the possible publication in a reputed journal.
I agree with Avishag and Mahesh, both idea and good presentation are required. But the good presentation should not substitute the content of a paper or oral presentation and should not cover faults or lacking substance of an idea. Sometimes this happens, especially in oral presentations.
For a journal publication = a clear idea + good presentation + good english + a little luck
