In reference to the latest issue of plagiarism being done by a person who copied a natures paper and published in Elsevier. I think journal Elsevier is equally involved in this act. This is duty of journal to verify the originality of a manuscript before publishing it. There should be ban and heavy fine on that particular journal of Elsevier. And an example should be set for future actually in normal practice they put ban on author but in this type of case when almost 100%paper is copy journal should also be ban. What do you people think? Please share your opinion on it.. Thanks!

C George Thomas Yes journal should be very careful in this regard. If author denied that he has not sent the paper or email used was not belonged to him than in that case author would be clear and only journal will be responsible what do u think sir ?
Dear Muhammed Omar, if the journal is sincere and reputed, these kinds of problems will not arise. Including the names of persons as authors without their consent is unethical. For this reason, serious journals require the corresponding authors to state when they submit papers that all authors have seen and approved the final version and that there are no conflict of interests. If some foul play occurs, you can ask the journal to make amends. If they are still unrelenting that must be a predatory one!
