We have a Dynex DS2 automated ELISA system (Magellan Technologies) that we typically use 1-2x weekly for the past 8-9 years. It is in impeccable condition (all PMs done routinely). However, last week the technician reported that the unit would not power on. The unit was moved to a new outlet and we also tried an alternate cord. Nothing.

It's pretty much sealed shut from what I can tell. Dynex wants a pretty large open PO for the service call, as we are no longer under a service contract.

While I respect their expertise, I'm trying to see if it's something simple we can fix on our own before spending a ton of money on what might turn out to be a simple fix.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
